***IMPORTANT UPDATE From our owner***

Hope every one is well

I wanted to update locals on the situation at The Bell.

There has been confusion over a take away menu that we published in The Bell but didn’t get to put out on line.

This menu was going to run along side our normal menu while the pub was still trading and was due to go live last Friday the 20th of March, however that evening we were told to close. This has meant all staff are now laid off and we are trying to establish how they will be paid via the Government scheme, so no food is available as we speak.

We may be able to offer a take away fish & chip menu on Fridays & a limited Sunday roast menu on Sundays, both at specific times, in the near future, but it will depend on demand. Please watch this space.

POST OFFICE:

With the pub closed and staff laid off we have been this week, and were proposing to going forward, open the Post Office 1pm – 5pm every week day, however yesterday we were told by PO HQ that all post office’s that are housed within properties that are closed, Pubs & Libraries for instance, must also close (as has the main PO in Solihull housed within WH Smiths)

In order to maintain some sort of service for the village we have agreed with PO HQ that we can remain open every afternoon still this week, and then will open 3 afternoons per week only, 1pm – 5pm Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays starting next week Monday 30th March.

Please can you make other residents who may not have social media aware of these timings

Many Thanks

Ash

***IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE***

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to say that as of Friday 20th of March 2020 we have regrettably closed our doors for the foreseeable future.

We would like to thank the local community and our loyal customers for your continued support, not only towards the business but to our hardworking staff.

This has been an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision to make, but in light of current affairs we believe it is the best course of action.

For queries please email thebell@realcoolbars.com and we will get back to you when we can.

Keep an eye on our social media and website, as we find out more information as to how we can best serve our community in this difficult time.

Thank you,
Ashley and The Bell Team x

The Post Office will Open:

1pm until 5pm Monday to Friday
10am until 12 noon Saturday

The Bell is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Tanworth in Arden. It has a cosy bar, amazing food and beautiful B&B accommodation.

Picturesquely situated in the Warwickshire countryside, ideal for walks, cycling and other country pursuits. We are deceptively close to Solihull, Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon. The village train station operates local services to Birmingham and its shopping mecca, The Bullring and to Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon, while the NEC and Birmingham International Airport are just 20 minutes away on the M42.

Our eclectic food Menu caters for all, including excellent Sunday roasts, which are renowned in the area, generous evening meals and  a sumptuous Specials Menu. Freshly made sandwiches are available at Lunchtime for the more casual diner.

Our 300 year old building is cosy and warm during the winter, with open fires and candle light. On summer days you can sit outside and enjoy the village green sipping a cool drink.

Our service is next to none with a small local team on hand for a friendly chat, a top up of wine or a large breakfast.

Please see our News and Events page for special offers we are running and any fabulous up and coming Events so you don’t miss out.

Our Christmas Set Menu is now happening…check out what we have to offer and book your table!
